He works to link the deaths in order to unmask the serial murderer, a deranged man troubled by an internal struggle where he perceives God and the devil competing within his mind, each vying for control over his actions and thoughts. As this man fights both forces, his interest fixates on Jodi when he discovers her obsession with ending his rampage.
